Caroline Gent

Hello I'm Caroline, the newly appointed Head Veterinary Nurse at Spinney Hill Veterinary Centre.

I have been qualified since 2015, I started my career back as a work experience student, at a Vets in Bromley Kent. Where I earnt myself a student nurse position. There I finished my training and moved onto a practice in Wiltshire where I was able to nurse routine surgery patients and orthopaedic. Since then I have practiced within vet centres offering opthalmology referrals where they treated cases such as corneal ulcers, entropion, cryo and cataracts surgery along with orthopaedic surgery and lap spays.

In my time I have been fortunate to work within a few practices and gain knowledge within different areas of surgery and inpatient care. Inpatient care is my happy place at work, I ensure to achieve the highest standards of inpatient care possible and encourage others to also do so.

I am exciting to take on my new role within Spinney as part of a challenge for myself andto help, witness the practice grow and adapt succesfully. I have been working within the Lynton team since March 2025 and so far have enjoyed my time here.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, I have a 6 year son who keeps me very busy. We like to take on adventures together and see new places.

We have 2 dogs Buddy and Samba who are both nearly 10 years old. They are lovely scruffy cross breeds, that are so loving.

I also enjoy baking, where I need to improve on my decorating skills... if you've ever seen "nailed it" you should know what I mean. As long as you've had fun right?

I am also quite into arts and crafts as is my son. My most recent projects being macrame and pebble art. I am big film fan and is into horror/comedy horror and thrillers. Shaun of the dead and Hot fuzz being two films, I have seen far too many times.
